Iqbal Khan is the CEO of Fajr Capital, an Islamic investment firm which invests in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, Cravia Group, Jadwa Investment and MENA Infrastructure. Prior to Fajr Capital, he was the founding CEO of HSBC Amanah, where he built the business and team over eight years into one of the fastest growing and most successful emerging businesses in the HSBC Group. He is a long-time advocate of the Islamic financial services industry, and a recipient of several industry and global awards, including the Royal Award for Islamic Finance, a biannual prize presented by HM the King of Malaysia, and a Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates.
